Are You Heartsick?

Depression can cause you to give up on life.

Solomon said, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick.” Who are these people?

I meet young people in the streets of San Antonio and they are cutters, cutting their arms, inside their thighs, or chest and literally go around bleeding under their baggy clothes. Many war veterans suffering from PTSD stress disorders who can’t escape the demons of war! Sexual abuse victims who now overeat, drink, and drug themselves to death!

Apparently fifty-eight million Americans battle depression everyday of the week. Some of them sleep in mansions and others under bridges. Tragically some Christians are battling thoughts of suicide!

Hope has a name and it’s name is Jesus Christ. Don’t quit. Don’t abuse drugs and alcohol. Don’t cut yourself. Don’t despair.

If you would like to have a relationship with Christ.

“Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. Amen.”
