PSALM ONE

“Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers.

But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night.

They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭1‬:‭1-3 NLT

This is a special Psalm. It describes the wicked, not as a drug user, an thief or a vulgar person. But one who lives his life without God. The man who doesn't have time for God, church, worship and God's Word. This person can only go downward. They can even have success but they have success without God. Being ungodly means you've decided to live your life without God. These people have a "minus God" attitude.

Psalm One, shows you how to stay strong in your life. Don't try it on your own. Get your strength from the Word of God. Can you see it? You get your strength from the Lord and your stability from the Word of God. Notice the text, trees planted along the riverbank. A tree is only stable if it had a strong root system. If the tree has a downward system of roots down and deep into the soil it will stand strorms and rainless seasons.

We are responsible to to sink our roots into the Word of God. When you do you get strong and stable.

If you notice the text, their leaves never wither. They don't dry up. So many Christians are lifeless and dryed up. They have no life and they are not life-givers.

Three things, one confess any sin in your life , heart and thought life. Careful of your friendship and those in your inner circle. Out with the ungodly and in with the godly. Second get into God's Word. Join a Bible clsss. Grow roots in God's Word and be consistent in church attendance. Third, pray everyday, worship God and grow in love with His Word. Remove anything negative or sinful in your life.

Psalm 1 leads you to a life of happiness and joy!
