Late last night in the streets of San Antonio, Texas, we were meeting precious people whom Christ died for. Did you know that there’s an epidemic of heroin addiction , fentanyl, ice and meth in our neighborhoods and destroying lives and people are overdosing in abandoned houses and slipping into eternity without God?

Me myself, Roman, I thank God, that He rescued me from sin and depravity as I lived in the streets as a junkie, shoplifter, and later on a low level heroin pusher.

Do not give up praying for your children, your sons and daughters even if they seem like a hopeless case. God specializes in impossible cases. Remember: GOD is STRONGER than heroin.

Pray for the team and pray for the beautiful people that we meet every night in these dark drug infested districts of our great city.

No one is beyond the reach of God. Not your prodigal child. Not your non-believing husband or wife. Not that crazy person that gives you trouble every day at work and is always antagonizing you. Not that person who has set himself or herself up as your enemy. No one is beyond the reach of God. So don’t give up. They may be in Satan’s control today, but they could be in Christ’s control tomorrow.

Keep praying for those people. Remember Jesus Christ is more powerful than Satan. The Bible tells us that the light — His light — shines in the darkness and the darkness can never extinguish it (John 1:5)

This is not a year to retreat or hunker down as darkness advances around us. It’s a time to take every opportunity we can find to let His light shine through our lives.
