FOMO

FOMO; fear of missing out, everyone is having fun, having a good time without me.

Social media tends to cause this when you see everyone’s posts at the park, a new baby celebration, showing off a new car, a picnic at the lake, laying out at the beach!

This social anxiety is characterized by, a desire to stay continually connected with what others are doing.

It causes depression, anxiety, loneliness and even the thought of worthlessness.

What to do?

Be thankful.

Read a book.

Walk and breathe fresh air.

Listen to music which is uplifting and spiritual.

Listen to podcasts with bible sermons.

Call people and see how they are doing.

Volunteer.

We need love, we need forgiveness, and we desperately need peace. We need to unload our junk onto Someone who can take it, will hold us and comfort us, and put what He’s got into us! When we let go, and rest on Jesus, He will pick us up and lift our spirits.
