San Antonio Texas is the 7th largest city in the United States of America. Its a magnificent city, however a deadly epidemic of heroin has struck this city. Thousands of our citizens are addicted to this drug. Hundreds of men and women have overdosed. Good law abiding citizens are living in fear for their lives, their families and their property.
The city morgue is crammed with dead bodies and the cemeteries in some mega cities have a “junkie section” for the dead. Parents want answers. Students are experimenting with heroin, K2, meth and are being caught in a vicious addiction.
Jails and drug rehabilitation centers are overflowing with inmates and residents within their walls. This marginalized group of people is often ignored but we can no longer look away. These so called junkies, prostitutes, street criminals have a family somewhere. Someone is praying for their soul. Someone is concerned for their welfare. They have a mother, a father, a sister, a brother or sons and daughters who care for them.
There’s a huge outcry in our mega cities across our land…cities like...San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Austin, Albuquerque, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Philadelphia, New York, Miami, Seattle, Atlanta, Chicago.
Small towns are not exempt from this deadly epidemic.. its actually worsening... towns such as…Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Fairbanks, Alaska, Pecos, Texas, Tombstone AZ , Greenville, South Carolina, Victorville, California, Laredo, Texas, Espanola, New Mexico, are under siege by this deadly epidemic.
The outcry across our nation is deafening, Who can help me? Who can help us? Is there hope? Are we doomed? Can anyone help our family? Who can save us?
Through the Outcry in the Barrio Home and Metanoya Church here in San Antonio Texas, alongside my pastor Jubal Garcia, I’ve worked with street heroin addicts, hardened criminals, career criminals, street criminals, muggers, street prostitutes, drug pushers, alcoholics on skid row, murderers, con artists, cutthroats, and literally thousands of people who are filled with fear, loneliness, misery and feeling hopeless and wondering if anyone loves them.
I truly believe that no problem is too big for God. I believe that no chain is too strong that God cannot break. I believe there is hope. I believe that there is an answer. I believe there is a way out. I believe what Jesus said, “I’am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the father except through me.”
John 14:6
In my new publication, “A Message To Drug Addicts” I have written a special message filled with hope for parents, politicians, ministers, priests, social workers and men and women who are in bondage to highly addictive street drugs.
Heroin has no geographical boundaries, it has victims in every zip code in America. There are millionaires, entrepreneurs, college professors, celebrities, and famous people who are lonely, living in fear about tomorrow, they have an emptiness within their hearts that money and fame cannot fill. Therefore many have chosen the highly glamorized white powder; HEROIN as a way to cope.
American families are broken, they are hurting and in deep despair, but God can heal them and He alone has the power and ability to restore and lift up these families up from the pit of destruction.
God has a plan and a grand purpose for your family. God has new direction and new instructions for your individual family. Your home can be a safe place, a place of love, a place of joy, a place of happiness, and a place where Christ is welcomed and exalted. I believe that God desires to save your entire family. I believe that God wants to save the grandparents, the parents, the young people, the young adults, your aunt, your uncle and cousins.
There are many Christian families that are under attack by this demonic epidemic of illegal opioids and heroin. Many church going families are being destroyed and their dreams concerning their family have turned into a nightmare. I’ve had many ministers who call me and say, "Roman, Im a minister, I’ve helped so many marriages and families, children, and young adults, but now…I have a son, I have a daughter, and they are using heroin and I don’t know what to do nor do I know how to help them....please help me!
The apostle Paul said; “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13
There’s hope. It’s heavenly hope. Our hope is in God. Our hope is not in man nor in the government. Our hope is not in a prescribed pill. Our hope is not in a therapist. Our hope and salvation is in the person of Jesus Christ. Our hope has a name, Jesus Christ.
Drugs is not the root of the problem, drugs is merely a symptom of a much deeper problem. Drug addiction, criminal activity, gangs and senseless killings are the symptoms of a much deeper problem that many professional experts avoid talking about, that problem is a spiritual problem, the bible calls it sin.
Mankind is separated from God. Mankind is lost without God. Mankind is hopeless without God. God sent His Son to live among men, He came to die for the sins of mankind, He was crucified for our sins, He shed His precious blood on the cross, He died as He was nailed to the cross, He was buried and He rose from the dead on the third day.
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
